The Mind versus The Traffic

Last friday evening, I had to cancel class due to my getting locked up in the traffic jam. And today, the infamous KL traffic had yet again, successfully robbed me of a job that I really needed, my time of long awaited rest at home and worst of all, half the money I had in my pocket to pay for the taxi fare, which costed a fortune! So there went my dinner.

Something has to change I thought, because stress can kill. Blood level rises due to all the anger and frustration of not being able to get to your destination and be happy. That also increases the blood pressure. People get anxiety attacks, migranes and headaches, which may lead to the malfunctioning of the digestive systems. Eventually, all those above symptoms we experience would unfortunately kill us.

Although it would seem hard in the beginning, we eventually have to learn how to control our frustrations through meditation, to be in the stillness of things and to allow all these things to simply pass us by....

Practice with an intention, not with tension

Every action has a reaction and it is in the reaction does one either reaps the BENEFITS of the practice or gets injured. Coincidently, every action must begin with an intention and by having the right intention to be open and to be accepting of new information about the body will always keep the mind focused, the body aligned, thus keeping one away from injuries.
